Ramping up virtual collaboration capabilities 

Problem/Situation: A leading North American financial services firm was undergoing fast growth due to a series of acquisitions from multiple locations hundreds of miles apart. Many seasoned managers were inexperienced when it came to leading remote teams, just as many people who had never worked virtually with other team members had to find ways to collaborate from afar.

Solution: Working with the company’s learning and development group, we created a series of customized webinars based on the unique challenges of this organization. Members of each workshop had a chance to review reference material, post questions and articulate challenges prior to the webinar in an online conference area. Participants joined the webinars using both phone and web conference, engaging in interactive discussions directly related to their needs. Immediately after each webinar, participants received additional reference material, including ideas generated during their own webinars.

The result: Participants gave consistently high marks to our webinars, praising us for the tips and ideas they learned in a surprisingly short period of time. The client asked us to run several more webinars and has referred us to many other clients.
