Nancy Settle-Murphy, Principal and Founder

cross-cultural trainer & communications strategist Nancy Settle-Murphy

Nancy Settle-Murphy, Guided Insights founder and principal consultant, draws on an eclectic and varied combination of skills and expertise. She wears many hats, depending on the challenges she’s helping clients to solve. She acts as meeting facilitator, virtual collaboration coach, change management leader, workshop designer, cross-cultural trainer, communications strategist and organizational development consultant.

Equally adept at working with co-located and virtual teams, Nancy has a gift for extracting and harnessing ideas and feelings in a thoughtful, supportive and productive manner. She has a passion for helping organizations have the kind of in-depth conversations they need to achieve their goals, making her an invaluable strategic partner.

Nancy’s clients such as Partners Healthcare, Hewlett-Packard, Unilever and Boston Scientific Corporation appreciate her ability to hit the ground running, grasp complex concepts easily and absorb new information quickly. She has an uncommon way of zeroing in on areas that will make or break an organization’s ability to achieve its goals. She collaborates closely with clients to deliver the best solution, reflecting the organization’s culture and political landscape.

Above all, Nancy is a pragmatist. She advises clients as to what’s really required to achieve their goals, mapping out what Guided Insights will deliver and what clients will reasonably need to take on. She freely shares her knowledge, tips and tools to enable clients to be self-sufficient as quickly as possible.

Nancy is a prolific author of articles, white papers and ezines on the topics of global teams, virtual collaboration and facilitation. She’s also a sought-after speaker and trainer for associations, conferences and companies that want to learn more about how to achieve the best results working in a virtual world.

Outside of work, Nancy contributes her communications skills to a number of community organizations, including Communities for Restorative Justice, the Girl Scouts, and Boxborough’s Special Education parents’ advisory group.
